Revelry Thursday – FREEBIE time!! some embroidery fun!

OHhh it took me all day, but this one is worth it, I think!! Happy Thursday, btw! I am excited to finally be among the living again. It only took me two weeks, but I am only occassionally blowing my nose and sneezing. I haven't had to nap in two days (darn!) but have had an awful lot of fun refurbishing The "new and improved" Studio! Here's a sneak peek at The Studio! (pic and beautiful stamp arrangement compliments of Studio R Photos using MY camera!! heehee!! thanks, Megan!!)

So, let me tell you what I'm into, if you didn't know already!! (you are expecting me to say SHEEP, and I'd love to say SHEEP, but the answer is…) Angels!! 🙂 I adore angels. And so in honor of these wonderful beings, I am creating a set of digital angels that I will be combining and selling after this month…but first, you get them FOR FREE!! YIPEEE!!! {now available in Sally's Angel kit}

And before I give you the link to download the second one, I'm going to show you how I created it!!

I started with a piece of unbleached 100% cotton muslin, my sketch pad, a pencil, and my handy dandy sheep to watch over me while I created! :) {i heart sheep!}

I drew my sweet angel. {i heart angels, too!} love her hair!!

Using my lightbox, I traced my angel onto my muslin. {i heart light boxes, too!}

I then cut a piece of batting and placed it behind my muslin and pin basted the two layers together.

Using DMC embroidery thread, I outlined my sweet little angel!! {i really heart embroidery! reminds me of my sweet mom!!}

*****break for a sec!!*****

I just wanted to take a sec and give you a link to a BLOG/store I found yesterday that is soooo cool for embroider-ers! it's called Sublime Stitching!! Great patterns and fun ideas for embroidery! LOVE that!! I just signed up for her newsletter! Should be exciting! ohhh have you signed up for MY newsletter???? >>>>>> go for it!! >>>>>>>>

*****back to the fun pics!*****

Here's me with a needle in my mouth and no makeup! heehee!! i thought the lighting was cool, though! thanks, Cora, for the fun shot! {btw, i heart my new sweater i got from mr gorgeous for christmas! yipeee}

So after embroidering that sweet little angel, I scanned it at 600dpi, cropped it, saved it at 300dpi and zipped it up just for you!! Here you go!

Feel free to link me up to any LOs you do using my fun designs!!

Happy REVELRY!!! and thanks for supporting Sally's Angelworks!
