Happy Day Two in our Crafting Love Fest here at Sally’s Angelworks!
It’s time to go shopping…
in our stashes of paper goods.
If you have been around me at all, you know that I adore paper, scrapbooking, art journaling, bible journaling, and all products pertaining to those art forms.
Today, I want to share with you some fun valentine ideas using our paper/ephemera stash. Go shopping in your own stash. It’s so satisfying. Plus, it’ll conjure up gobs of new ideas!!
Here’s a pile of fun things I’ve picked up along the way. One of the things I like to do is to buy packs of printed things from different artists’ Project Life lines. I also am in LOVE with lace, twine, thread, and washi tape. This is fabric tape from my darling friend Julie!! 🙂
Here are some projects I made with some of these items:
(If you are in my family, you may be getting one of these next week, so SURPRISE!!)
The flamingos were from a CD holder calendar I bought in 2014 from Paper Source. Repurposing paper products, especially calendars is a wonderful way to be great stewards of your stash!!
Can you see the stitching on top of my lace? Yep, you knew I couldn’t go without sewing in this post, right????
Another calendar page! And now I want to eat macarons! 🙂
Stamps and washi tape from Illustrated Faith. I also have several old beater books that Mr Gorgeous got at an estate sale over 19 years ago that I use for awesome art!! (btw, I drew the heart…not a stamp! I’m practicing my doodling!)
I think when making a handmade Valentine, one must include their own handwriting! I may add something to this one…Be open to editing right up until you stick it in the envelope and lick the stamp!
There is nothing better than saying I LOVE YOU with a handmade card. I hope this has inspired you to look through your stash! All of this created a desire to make art with my supplies a little bit each day.
(this is for me and my vision board)
You are loved…don’t forget that today!!
See you tomorrow when we talk about GIFT LOVE.
