I’m a huge advocate of loving what you wear! You want to feel good when you go out each day…or even if you stay in!! One of the ways I love what I wear is to make my own clothes. I love picking my own fabrics and patterns and also just wearing what I make!!

I was scrolling through old pictures and honestly watched myself lose and gain weight through the years. That can be discouraging, but I found it super encouraging. Because I remember wearing those clothes (most of them I still am!!) and feeling great about myself!!

Even at my heaviest ever last May (2018), I participated in MeMadeMay.

MeMadeMay is a challenge where you can pledge to wear your own handmade clothes throughout the month of May. Instagrammer @sozoblog Zoe Edwards started this movement back in 2010…read all about it on her blog HERE!

So this year my pledge was, along with wearing something handmade every day, I would make four new outfits this month…one a week! Here’s my first week of outfits:

Day 1:

Day 2:

Day 3:

Day 4:

This is my new one this week!! It’s May the Fourth!! Of course, I had a Star Wars tunic!! This was a fun experiment that I did. My biggest takeaway? Use other substrates than quilting cottons for clothes!! This drape isn’t the best, but it’s fun for what it was!! 🙂

Day 5:

Day 6:

GO ROCKETS!!!!

Day 7:

For Details on all of my MeMadeMay outfits, follow my shop IG

I hope you’ll join me each day as I post my MeMadeMay outfit of the day (#OOTD) on my IG story on my Shop Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/shopsallysangelworks) AND post my week of outfits here on the blog every Wednesday!!

Now I’m off to make some LEGGINGS!! YIPEEEEE!!

Blessings!!
