Here’s a very fun way to create an intricate quilt:

Join a BOM and don’t get behind!

This year I joined Julie in her BOM (Block of the Month) and Zakka POM (Project of the Month). The BOM is Sew Kind of Wonderful’s Urbanologie Pattern (see the link for the different layouts.) I’m doing Layout #2.

(Thanks, Julie, for the pic! The Sew Kind of Wonderful Gals at Quilt Market last fall ❤️)

Julie is sending us fabrics that are very similar to the sample quilt.

I’m excited to say that I’ve finished the first 5 months. Here are my blocks so far:

Month 1 – BirdsBirds! So cute! I love the pop of red…our Cardinal in the bunch.

Month 2 – Trees

I loved the fabrics Julie sent on these. So fun!

Month 3 – Skinny Arrows

These were my hardest. I didn’t do the arrowheads correctly, but it doesn’t bug me enough to redo them. Also, I did switch out the dark hot magenta pink fabric that Julie sent with the lighter pink (Charleston – on the right). I was thinking ahead to the butterflies. I want them to be a lighter pink, so thus, the pink arrow. 🙂 i love it that way.

Month 4 – Big Arrows

Honestly, I didn’t think I would like these, but they are awesome!!

Month 5 – Pears

I adjusted these a little, too. I added the low volume (text fabric) to make it look a bit more like the picture. I am going to LOVE this quilt. For sure!!!

Keep watching this space here for more updates on this BOM!!

What are you working on today????

Blessings,
