Happy Valentine’s Week!!! It’s the perfect time to celebrate LOVE!!

And I’d love to celebrate it through projects…quilting and paper and art journaling…all reminding you that YOU ARE LOVED. In the infamous words of Dionne Warwick, “What the world needs now is love, sweet love!!” I hope these daily projects and posts inspire you to love more and to spread the cheer all around you this week.

DAY ONE – WINTER LOVE

A year ago, Mr Gorgeous and I went to Wyoming on a work trip for him. While he was working, I went exploring around the Flaming Gorge. It was amazingly beautiful!!!

When I got back from my little road trip, I decided to design and hand sew a mini quilt.

I was swayed by the winter all around me…

And I wrote this in the middle block to embroider:

Just a kind word…we can do that, can’t we?

The snow globe pattern is from Aneela Hoey’s Little Stitches book.

It took me a year, but I got it all done. Completely hand pieced and handquilted…

Do you love winter?

I don’t think I could actually live in snow, but an occasional trip up north is kinda fun! Especially when it is so beautiful.

To make this mini quilt, take 12 – 4″ low volume squares and 24 – 2″ squares and sew those squares onto the opposite corners. For the middle, I used 4 – 4″ white squares and 4 – 2″ low volume corner squares.

If you are interested in the text embroidery pattern, drop me an email at sallykeller814@gmail.com.

This mini quilt is for sale in my SHOP right HERE!! Happy Shopping!!!

Come back tomorrow for some fun Valentine card ideas!

Blessings!!
