Good Morning!! Happy Wednesday, friends.

brooke and julie

Are you ready for a new project to whip up this summer? My darling friends, Brooke and Julie (click on their names to see how awesome they are!!) are joining me in sewing together this summer!!!!! And we want you to join in with us!!

pixiesummerhome600

For the next 12 weeks, we will be creating an awesome new quilt together. We will have two-week assignments AND three different examples to help you choose how you will create your very own Pixie Summer Home Quilt (or table runner or table topper or wall hanging!).
Every two weeks, we will post a new block tutorial (created by Julie) from which you can create a series of blocks to use in your very own setting of the quilt. With the block tutorial we will post a linky party for you to show off your progress. Weeks five and six will be finishing instructions and quilting/binding fun – all with linky parties for you to show off, too!
There will be PRIZE giveaways with the block postings, and we will have a Midway prize and an ending Grand Prize. Each post in the linky party earns you an entry for these two prizes!!

Our main goal with this Quilt Along is to sew together. We know that sewing is an awesome experience, but it is made even sweeter and amazing when we sew together!

So, what are we sewing????
We are sewing up HOUSES, TREES and STARS! We are all very partial to House quilts (see my House Quilt Pinterest Board HERE), and this quilt is a celebration of it!

This is my version of the Pixie Summer Home Quilt. (Special thanks to Julie for her EQ6 skillz!)
As you can see, there are four blocks (9″ finished), and I’ve arranged them without sashing (because sashing is hard for me…I’ll learn soon, I promise!!).
Here is our schedule and guidelines:
June 8th – Introduction, Information, and Guidelines
June 22nd – First Block
July 6th – Second Block
July 20th – Third Block
August 3rd – Fourth Block
August 17th – Finishing the Quilt Top
August 31st – Quilting and Binding your Quilt
Each week, you will:
1. …follow the instructions on our post.
2. …create a piece of your quilt.
3. …post your progress on the linky party.

4. For an extra entry, comment on this blog post!! yay!!!
