It's here!!! Yay!!! The day we've all been waiting for!!

Yup…us!! I'm so funny in that pic! LOL!!

I just love Vanessa of V & Co and her new line, Color Me Happy (it's coming out in March!! yay!!)!!!

So, we had this little challenge (make something using a Color Me Happy 2.5" mini charm pack)…and we are all posting today to show off what we came up with…

I had an idea for a long time…

It had to do with arrows and big quilts…

Someday I may actually make this quilt…BUT…that's not what I'm going to show you!

Mr Gorgeous needed a Valentine's Day quilt, and I needed a project.

So I went to Pinterest, found a quote, saw another pic (of monsters! LOL!!) and BOOM! A quilt idea is born!!

Here's my project:

I know the text is hard to see in my big picture, but it says "We're Better Together".

Mr Gorgeous and I are definitely better together! LOL!!

The monsters are my fave!! They are my own design and are appliqued onto the Moda Bella Solid Blue fabric. (The white fabric at the top is also a Moda blender fabric! I love these since they go perfectly with Vanessa's line!!)

The square grid may not seem too original, but for me, it was an amazing study on color! I was trying to go for an ombre look from light to dark (top left corner to bottom right!). I used my phone camera to take a pic before I sewed the squares together. I turned the pic into a black and white pic so I could see the value of the squares! I did this with the big squares, too!! What a fun study in color value! It really worked!!

I will have a pattern for the quilt up on the blog very soon! I'm super excited about the different baby quilts and kids quilts you can make using these fun monsters and changing up the text! Soooo fun!!

And guess what?

Mr Gorgeous loved it! (yep, I gave it to him early…I just couldn't wait!!)

We are definitely better together! Love this man!!
