It's time for block #1 – a basic block – the Log Cabin Block!

My very first quilt (which is still just a top…eeeeeeeek!!) is a log cabin quilt:

It's on my 13 in '13 list!!

The log cabin block usually revolves around a fussy cut block. I love this little girlie!!!

I love the contrast between the light and dark or in this case, pink and white/gray!!

There are probably many online sites or books with cutting/sewing instructions for the Log Cabin Block. I got mine from a book called Modern Log Cabin Quilting by Susan Beal. You will see this book again in this 30 day block series…

I'd love to know if you make one (or 16) of these!!!
