Ohhhhh it's Friday!!!
I'm ready for the weekend…three nights to just soak up the craft room!! Love!!!!
And I'll be working ahead on some more Folk Tale Blocks for my Block a Day feature here on the blog. I'm ready to show off today's block and give you a fun free embroidery pattern!!!! yipeeeee!
So I saw this on Pinterest… and I was inspired to do some art work of my own:
And make it into a block:
I love it!!!!!
First of all, the verse is Psalm 33:22, and I embroidered it onto the O and then needle-turn-appliqued it onto the block (after I put the other letters on there!)…
I love the needle turning and the embroidery (you know I'm totally addicted to that!!)…
I glued (with a glue stick) the letters down and then zigzagged around them…I've gotten my machine to cooperate with me about zigzagging for now. If I use a wide stitch, I'm good with it!
I can't wait to offset the busy blocks with these white space blocks!! On the 15th, I'm going to put all of the blocks up to see how we are doing at the halfway mark!!!
And this is not the only thing I finished this week!!!
Bari sent me this pattern before Spring Quilt Market. I really really wanted to get it made up before I went up to Portland/Seattle…but alas, life got in the way!
No worries, though!!! It's done now!!!
(I only did piping with the pockets on one side…I didn't get enough – always buy more than you think!!! LOL!!)
I used Bari's fabrics for all of it…the outside is her latest line, Bijoux, and for the lining, I picked her Splendor 1920s…LOVE!!! Art Gallery fabrics are so scrumptious!!
The pin tucking just adds that awesome touch!!!
Here it is stuffed with pillows, quilts, and sheep!!! 🙂
It holds a heck of a lot!!!
I'm ready to go on vacation now!!!! Calgon, take me away!!!
And for a little fabric fun, look what came in the mail this week???
Bonjour Mon Ami from Julie's store, The Intrepid Thread!! Thanks, my darling friend!!!
I am soooo loving these colors and patterns by Amanda Murphy!! Gorgeous!!!
I hope you are having as much fun as me this weekend!!!
