Hello, Spring!!!

The seasons are changing, the weather is changing, flipflops are coming out and I'm thinking about putting a bird on everything!!

This week was Project Quilting's last challenge of the season. I'm going to miss it when the challenges stop. But I'm going to hopefully carry on my every other week production with finishing deadlines! eeek!! Someone needs a little accountability now that Spring Fever is hitting me! ๐Ÿ™‚

This week's challenge was to be inspired by "Hurray for Spring!".

I was also inspired by this picture on my Pinterest board, "hand-stamped cards.

I'm in love with washi tape, although I haven't splurged on any yet.

But in my quilt this week, I wanted to make this fun washi tape look with different patterns in strips just at the bottom of the quilt.

I also used dotted fabric that I got in our Houston Modern Quilt Guild dotted fabric swap.

I used this quilt to practice some raw edged applique, some different free-motion quilting techniques, and some fun handwritten embroidery!! ๐Ÿ™‚

It'll be even more cozy after I wash it. There is nothing better than the scrunchiness of a newly-washed quilt, huh???!!!

I'm still working on my list of UFOs…it's getting longer as I seem to get distracted and want to start new projects!! This coming week, I'm going to whip up some outfits for Easter. We'll see how that goes!!

Speaking of Easter, do you think I should make some macaroons? I tried them a few weeks ago for the first time from our local awesome bakery and they were soooooo scrumptious…

I made a batch the next day, and they tasted just as good!! (They didn't look as good…if you have a hint on how to get them so smooth, let me know!!) I think I'll have to make some more this week!!

Happy Holy Week!!!!
