Oh you know me…
I'm a crafter…
I create a lot of things…
and i LOVE it!! and as a crafter or creator, I want to share FIVE ways I love to be creative…
1. MUSIC
First of all, I am a musician. My passion is to sing, and the guys in my band, Brazos River Turnaround, allow me to do just that! AND I also get to write music. I adore the process to create something that hopefully will inspire others with hope!
I'm super excited to announce that BRT's second single (that I wrote) was just released on iTunes and CD Baby!! Check it out here:
go ahead…download it…you know you want to!! π Why not? It's not even a third of the price of a Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte!! :)
2. MINI QUILTS
Ohhhh, I've been really having a great time in the craft room with these lately. I have three more that I'm ready to quilt and bind. That's next week's work! yipeee!!
Here are some new ones to show off…they will be uploaded into the Etsy Store soon!!
This is using fun bias tape binding that I won over at Kitschy Designs blog from the Fabric Bar!! thanks, Danielle and Amy!
this is a long-time UFO (unfinished object!!)…thank the Lord for finishing, huh?
This is using a group of things that I created for my digital kit, sally's robin's egg!
completely hand embroidered by me!! (all made in one day! i love this one!!)
One particular mini quilt embraces my love for photography and scrapbooking and is the first in my new line of memory quilts. It allows you to put a 4×6 picture on the quilt and interchange it out when you want to put another picture from that particular trip. I will have several in this line with different destinations like New York, Paris, India, and London. Here are some pictures from the Paris version!
Love it! What destination would you like to see?
3. APRONS
I'm truly getting into creating these! They are practical, fun and adorable! My kids have chores they have to do in the kitchen and they love wearing aprons (really, for the practical reason of not getting their clothes dirty or wet!!)! I'm actually about to launch a line of momma/child coordinating aprons in fun inspiring fabrics, and I'm using my kiddos as guinea pigs!! They will love them!
Here are a couple of my new ones…can you tell I'm really getting into embroidery on EVERYTHING? you've seen the last one, but it's so cute that I had to show it off again!! π
4. CAMERA STRAP COVERS
You know I love to make these! But what you may not know is that I love to make custom covers for you and your particular camera! I'm in the middle of creating a strap cover for a good friend using these fabrics (pic below) that she picked from Lola Pink Fabrics…so fun and unique!!! Have you found the perfect fabric for your camera strap cover? I can order it and whip one up for you! All for the same price of 18$ a cover! What a deal!! π
5. DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING PAGES
Ohhhhh thanks to my darling friend Krista, I have been a digital scrapbooking FOOL!! Here are some of my latest scrapbook layouts! (adore!)
(I'll save some more for the middle of the week!! Told you I've been scrapping!!)
