Ohhh I have been having such a wonderful time here - I keep running out of hours in the day to finish journaling my days!!!

So a couple of quick recaps and my fave Yosemite picture!!!

Yesterday, August 6th, I left the hotel area around 9:40am to go to Yosemite National Park. I finally got there around 12:45. And that was just the front gate. It took me an additional 45 minutes to make it into the visitor's center and lunch (and a bathroom). It was a magnificent drive, with a couple of learning experiences for me. Once I was satiated with food, I got back in the car and drove around the main drive taking gobs of pics of all of God's magnificent creation there in Northeastern California! I can't wait to come back and bring the kids and camp and hike. The weather was a bit hot (97 degrees yikes!!) so I didn't hike very much…just enough to get some great shots including this one…

Halfdome

Click on it to see it big! This is Half Dome..here is the Wikipedia description:

Half Dome is a granite dome in Yosemite National Park, located at the eastern end of Yosemite Valley โ€” possibly Yosemite's most familiar sight. The granite crest rises more than 4,737 ft (1,444 m) above the valley floor.

I got back to the hotel around 6:30pm…*whew* what a trip!! I immediately washed up and met Donnie down in downtown Pleasanton where there was a big festival going on – The dog Days of Summer festival. We ended up eating at a British Pub and enjoying another wonderful dinner with Donnie and his coworkers!

Today, I took it a bit easier…

i went to Denny's for breakfast (fastest food ever!!!) and went on to a little town north of Donnie's work called Walnut Creek. It has a wonderful sweet downtown shops and high end boutiques. I didn't spend too much time or money there…I met donnie and his team at a "fast food Calimex" restaurant called Baja Fresh. YUMMY!!! I went to target after lunch to pick up some stuff for that gorgeous man!! and went to the bank, a music store (i'm missing my guitar!) AND back to the hotel to scrap a little. Donnie came back and picked me up for dinner! We went to another small town to the north and ate another INCREDIBLE dinner at "the Peasant and the Pear"!! ohhhh sooo wonderful!! I'll share some pics tomorrow!!!

Ok…can't stand it…have to share one pic of us all at dinner!! (thanks for signing the release, Jen and Cindy!!)

DinnerThurs
